The 40 hp is the first in the Nissan line-up to include our P.L.U.S. (Primary Lubrication Utilization System*) feature. We realize it’s a fancy name but all you need to know is that now you can have an

affordable outboard that automatically mixes the oil and gas according to your engine speed. No more messing around with measuring and mixing oil and gas together; with Nissan’s P.L.U.S. feature you just add oil to the built-in oil reservoir and let Nissan’s technology do the rest.

And because the 40 is a 3-cylinder outboard with water brought in through precision designed dual water intakes which not only cools your engine but also "jackets" it to reduce noise levels you get an outstanding quiet ride matched together with proven power.

So that you won’t go away feeling left out, the Nissan 40 also comes standard with a prop, fuel hose & fittings and an analog tachometer/oil level gauge.
